Are you ready for more “Desperate Housewives”? Are you ready for gay “Desperate Housewives”?
Creator Marc Cherry told TV Guide that ABC already has set aside a time slot for a “Housewives” spinoff. But don’t hold your breath–it’s not coming to the small screen anytime soon.
“It’s going to take me a couple of seasons before I have the energy [and] time,” he says. “I know another angle on telling the stories of the people in this neighborhood.” He said it would probably be based somewhere other than Wisteria Lane.
Meanwhile, a rumor is buzzing around that a character on the show is coming out, the New York Daily News reports. But an even juicier rumor is that a cast member will come out in real life at the same time in The Advocate.
Cherry hinted at a character’s outing, but the second rumor is shaky at best. A rep for The Advocate said, “We always welcome if stars want to come out in The Advocate, but we have nothing planned.”
