Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I am so happy to know that someone else out there feels the same way I do about this movie. (” ‘Phantom’ fan club members: Me,” Jan. 27 column by Katie McCollow.) This is a great movie and I don’t think it gets the recognition it deserves. (It was the same with “Moulin Rouge.”) The Oscar committee could have at least nominated more of the songs. Not only is “The Phantom of the Opera” a beautiful love story, but it has wonderful music. It is funny, because the day that Katie’s article was published I had just gone out and brought the CD. Like her, I play it over and over again; I even printed the lyrics off the Internet. So Katie, know that someone else out there is “sobbing along to the soundtrack” with you.
