Cherrill W. Allen, nee Wylie, age 88, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 in Joliet. Mrs. Allen retired from the Louis Joliet Bank and Trust Company in 1981, where she was Assistant Vice President, Administration and Assistant Trust Officer. Preceded by her husband, Edward J. Allen (1981); infant daughter, Janetta Marie (1953); her mother, Marie Freckleton (1989); her father, Laurence S. Wylie (1949); her stepfather, Glenn Freckleton (1972); and her brother-in-law, Joseph W. Allen (2003). Survived by her son, Patrick J. (Susan) Allen; granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Allen and grandson, Ross Edward Allen, all of River Forest, IL; two nephews, Laurence E. (Peggy) Allen of Normal and J. Michael (Gayle) Allen of Peoria. Cherrill W. Allen will lie in state on Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church, 805 Western Avenue, Joliet, from 10 a.m. until time of Services at 11 a.m. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Visitation today, Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet.
