A judge on Wednesday agreed to postpone until next week a scheduled hearing for Michigan point guard Daniel Horton, who is charged with domestic violence for allegedly choking his girlfriend.
Gerald Evelyn, Horton’s attorney, asked District Court Judge Ann Mattson to delay the hearing so he could gather more information. Mattson rescheduled the hearing for Monday.
Horton and his mother were in court. Horton, dressed in a black suit and a Michigan basketball jacket, promised Mattson he would refrain from alcohol or drugs and wouldn’t contact the alleged victim. Horton refused to speak to reporters.
