Marcella C. Solak, age 81, of Oswego, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 at the Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on Feb. 18, 1923 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edmund and Anna, nee Mydlowski, Klajda. Marcella was employed for many years as an accountant by Industrial Gas & Engineering in Westmont, IL. She was a very active member of both the V.F.W. of Dundee, IL, having served as a 5th District President and the Ladies of the Moose in Batavia, IL. Marcella loved to play Bingo, cards and also enjoyed fishing with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Jeffrey) Morhous of Yorkville, IL and Janeen “Ginger” Miller of Trabuco Canyon, CA; her granddaughter, Eryn Gable of Washington, D.C.; and her brother, Alexander (Mimi) Klajda of Burlington, WI; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Anna Klajda; her sister, Dolores Wayne and her brother Edmund Klajda. Funeral Services will be private.
