Freddie graduated from Lanier High School in Jackson, MS in 1963. He received an associate of applied science degree in 1990 from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Freddie served 25 years in the military and received the Purple Heart in Vietman and other commendations for service to his country. After retirement from the army, Freddie worked for years as a security guard in Nashville, TN. Freddie leaves behind four children, LaTochias Lyle of Clarksville, TN, Eddie Bradford of Clarksville, TN, Michelle and Rachelle Coleman of Twinsburg, OH; son of Velma Coleman of Jackson, MS; brother of Tyrone (Bessie) Coleman of Jackson, MS, Claudette (Ed) Adams of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives throughout the United States. Freddie will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. near his father, Tommie Lee Coleman in the Restvale Cemetery, 11700 South Laramie Ave., in Alsip, IL. 60803, on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005. At that time there will be a grave-side ceremony and farewell.
