Arthur Thomas Shaw, 88, died peacefully on Feb. 3, 2005, at his home in Portland, OR. Tom was born in Canton, OH, on Dec. 2, 1916, but was raised and spent a significant amount of his life in Chicago, a city he truly loved. He married the late Virginia Ermeling Shaw in 1941 and had three daughters: Lynne, Penny and Laurie. Tom’s lifelong career in the insurance business took him and his family to the New York metropolitan area in 1959. He lived there until 1996 when he and his wife moved to Oregon. Tom is also survived by four grandchildren: Margot, Will, Andrew and Chase. We will always remember his great wit, easy-going personality, helpful nature and charming style. We love you, Daddy.
