Lee Anthony Blaskovich, 60, of Clarendon Hills, IL and Ft. Myers, FL, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 after a valiant struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was born May 9, 1944 in Hinsdale, IL the son of Anton and Frances (Matkowitz) Blaskovich. He was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Hinsdale, the Geneva Lakes Harvard Club and contributed to a number of charities quietly and anonymously. Surviving him are his wife, Rosemary (Caveny); his daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Schoon of New York, NY and his sons, Tim of Chicago, IL and Mick of Clarendon Hills, IL; his brothers, Richard (Connie) and Terry (Steve). He will be deeply missed by his grand-daughter, Elizabeth Lee Schoon and his nephews, Ryan and Peter Crowe. He was preceded in death by his father. Lee was a second generation builder of high-end custom homes in the western suburbs of Chicago, Blaskovich Builders, LLC. He believed in building finely-detailed homes and being on each of his job sites daily, so his body of work encompasses only 75 residences. All of his subcontractors were long-time associates because they, too, believed strongly in the importance of the details. It is suggested that expressions of sympathy be in the form of a donation to Habitat for Humanity, c/o L.A. Blaskovich, 311 Hudson Avenue, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514. Mr. Blaskovich will be waked from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the Elliston Funeral Home, 60 So. Grant, Hinsdale, IL 60521. Services and interment private. 630-323-0275 or www.ellistonfuneralhome.com
