Gadget-loving guys–those in the young explorer set, that is–might find a new jacket from GapKids a perfect fit.
The water-resistant windbreaker (in green or gray camo) is equipped with gadget-enhanced bright orange and black Explorer’s Gloves. There’s a compass, signal lights and magnifying lens on one hand–the better to see bugs with! On the other? A watch, grip clips and gear loops.
Ten-year-old Southern Californian Nathan Tung came up with the idea for the Kid Inventor Challenge run annually by San Francisco toymaker Wild Planet, which teamed with Gap.
The jacket and gloves combo ($49.50) is available at GapKids stores and through www.gap.com. And yes, Nathan gets royalties for each pair of gloves sold.
