Henry “Skip” Brandt, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 in Tonto Verde, AZ. Skip was born in Chicago, IL, the loving son of Molly Brandt, currently of Schaumburg, IL and Henry Brandt (deceased). After service to his country in the United States Army, Skip joined American Airlines, retiring in 1996 from a Chicago based career in Food Service and Passenger Service. His devoted wife, Mary Kay Brandt, his life partner since 1967, survives Skip. Skip’s keen interest in early American history and the role of the Native American Indian has lead to the accumulation of an extensive reading library. Skip’s passion for Major League Baseball was only matched by his love of golf. His warmth, wit and gentle nature will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Skip, you have touched each of our hearts and lives and we will love you, always. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 208 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions/donations be made to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, in care of Al Keeley, 27007 N. Polo Fiero Rd., Rio Verde, AZ 85263.
