– The Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 2-12, Chicago, will offer public classes in boating safety, skills and navigation this winter and spring. Sailing and Seamanship will run 13 consecutive Mondays, starting Feb. 14. It will be held at IBEW Union headquarters 600 W. Washington St., Chicago, where there’s free parking. – The 36th annual Chicagoland Boat Show will come to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Rd., Rosemont, Feb. 17-20 along with the 37th annual Chicagoland RV, Camping & Van Show (admission to one will get you into the other). Vessels ranging from personal watercraft, pontoon boats and fishing boats to cruisers and yachts will be there. Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Feb. 17-18, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 19 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 20. Tickets may be purchased at a discount online at www.chicagoboatshows.com for $8, $3 for children 6-12 (younger than 6 free). Tickets at the door are $10, $3 for children 6-12.
