George S. Hoban. The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP sadly announces the passing of its retired partner, George S. Hoban, aged 90, on Jan. 27, 2005, in Austin, TX. Mr. Hoban, at one time the Managing Partner of the thennamed law firm of Hinshaw, Culbertson, Moelmann, Hoban & Fuller, first began his corporate practice with Joseph Hinshaw in 1938 and contributed significantly to the expansion of the firm to what it is today. “With the loss of George Hoban, the firm loses a link to its history,” said Hinshaw’s Chairman, Donald L. Mrozek. “George was a visionary leader during the firm’s formative years. We mourn his passing.” During his 41year legal career, concluding in 1979, Mr. Hoban was known for his tenacious representation of corporate clients. He served for many years as General Counsel for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Duplex Products, and Northwest Community Hospital. Mr. Hoban was a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and Ripon College, where he later served for many years as a member of the Board of Trustees.
