Mayme Hardwick Parker, 100, of Zion, formerly of Chicago, died on Sunday, February 6 in Zion. Born November 21, 1904 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the late Stanley and Benny Hardwick, she was a longtime resident of Chicago before moving to Zion in 1992. Dear grandmother of Angela Sundberg of Arizona, Ronald Parker of New York, Derrick Parker of Georgia, Daryl Parker of Chicago and Kevin Parker of Zion; dear great-grandmother of Katrina, Brandon, Katherine, Bradley, Jennifer and Ryan; fond great-great-grandmother of Meredith; loving sister of Christine Watson of California. Also preceded in death by her husband Willis in 1981, son Ronald, and three brothers and one sister. At family’s request there will be no service and interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth will be private. The Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, serving the family. 847-746-1234.
