John Paul “Jack” Sobczak, 96, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at Aurora Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Chicago, IL June 26, 1908. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Sobczak. He has resided in Twin Lakes, WI since approximately 1980. He was married to his beloved Alice Joyce for over 60 years, and he worked for General Finance Corp. in Evanston, IL until his retirement in 1971. Surviving are one son Howard (Judy) Sobczak of Addison, IL and one daughter, Shirley Wegner of Snohomish, WA; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; five brothers and two sisters. A Funeral Mass for John Paul “Jack” Sobczak will be held on Friday, Feb. 18 at St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church, Niles, IL at 10 a.m. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
