Violet S. Simmel, formerly of Riverwoods, IL, passed Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, age 83, at Normal, IL, daughter of the late Harry and Anna, nee Pueschel, Pharher; beloved wife of the late Karl H. Simmel; loving mother of Anne (Curt) Broughton, Bonnie Simmel, Richard Simmel and Paul (Halina) Simmel; dear grandmother of five grandchildren; fond sister of Dorothy Gerut, Larry Pharher and the late Irv Pharher. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, cremation rites accorded. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, 1104 N. Main St., Bloomington, IL 61701, 309-828-2422 has charge of arrangements.
