Florian E. Cleys, he was born July 12, 1925 in Evanston, Illinois, to Florian and Victoria, nee Gyurman, Cleys. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in Europe. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He was owner and President of Mid-America Electric Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Local 134 IBEW for 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn, nee Unterreiner, Cleys; three sons, Ron (Julie Ringholm), Larry (Dorothy), Jeff (Cathy); and five grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa, Ryan, Lindsey and Amanda. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ted. Visitation Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin. Funeral service Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard, Algonquin.
