The National Hockey League season has been canceled and no one knows if it will return in some form or another.

A modest suggestion: Dissolve the league; void out all existing labor, television and ad contracts; then start over. Think small. Six cities, tops. How about New York, Boston, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal and Chicago? At the very least, our chances of winning the Stanley Cup would be better than they have been in 45 years.
