Topics such as “Is grammar dead?” need to be brought to society’s attention. I might add that it was an excellent article and well-written. When the president of the United States makes grammatical errors, intentional or not, in his speeches, that begins to tell us something about society. Good grammar in speaking and writing is an indication of one’s upbringing and education. As the article pointed out, people judge other people by their use of grammar in speaking and communication. As a society, we are too loose with certain words that should not be used in polite society. Using proper grammar really does matter in our communication with other members of society.
