Five people where charged with attacking three undercover Illinois State Police officers who were investigating a Chicago business for stolen vehicles, prosecutors said Sunday.

On Friday, the undercover officers went to an auto lot in the 900 block of North Cicero Avenue, where they were attacked by five workers.

Maria Beltran, 35, of the 1900 block of South Harvey Avenue, Berwyn, was charged with one count of aggravated battery of a police officer and was ordered held in lieu of $20,000 bail Sunday. Her husband, Carlos Beltran, 36, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a police officer and disarming of a police officer and was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Efrain Roman, 50, of the 1500 block of North Keystone Avenue, Chicago, was charged with one count of aggravated battery of a police officer and was ordered held in lieu of $75,000 bail. Santos Beltran, 40, of the 1900 block of South 61st Avenue, Cicero, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a police officer. His bail was set at $50,000. Frank Zervas, 32, of the 1600 block of South 58th Street, Cicero, was charged with aggravated battery and disarming a police officer. His bail was set at $75,000.
