Howard A. Aldrich, age 89, of Milford, CT, beloved husband of the late Nessie Deans Aldrich, passed away on Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 in Haven Health Care Center, New Haven, CT. Son of the late Arthur Orlando and Rowena Atwood Aldrich, he was born on Sept. 26, 1915 in Spencer, IA. He was president of Aldrich H.B., Inc., a longtime active member of the Kiwanis Club and a real estate broker and agent. Devoted father of two sons, Robert (Janet) Aldrich of Milford, CT and Bruce Aldrich of Michigan. He also leaves two grandchildren, Kate Aldrich and Kenneth (Jennifer) Aldrich; and two great-grandchildren, Molly Weathered and Abigail Aldrich, all of Milford. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst, IL. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Howard Aldrich Endowment Fund c/o Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst, P.O. Box 729, Elmhurst, IL 60126 100% of donations will be used to aid physically and mentally challenged children.
