Soccer star David Beckham’s wife, Victoria (a.k.a. “Posh Spice”) gave birth Sunday to the couple’s third son, named Cruz.
Victoria Beckham and the baby are in “perfect health,” said Dr. Vidal Pelaez at the Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid, where she gave birth to the 7-pound boy.
British bookies had chosen “Jose” as the odds-on favorite for the newborn’s name. “[Cruz] is just a name we liked,” said Beckham, Reuters reports. “He’s got Victoria’s nose and lips. He’s gorgeous so we’re very happy.”
Cruz has two brothers: Brooklyn, 5, and Romeo, 2.
