Thailand is hoping hip-hop can get the country’s youth more active in Buddhism. On Feb. 23, or Makha Bucha Day–which celebrates Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death–the Ministry of Culture is planning a concert featuring Dhamma Rap. Dhamma, or dharma, refers to the teachings of Buddha, which serve as a moral guide on how to conduct one’s life.
