Edward J. Ryan, WWII U.S. Marine Veteran, died February 19, 2005 at home, beloved husband of Mary Alice, nee McKerr; loving father of Dereck (Theresa) Murphy, Michael (Michelle), Kathy (Mark) Rowley and E. Scott (Leslie); proud grandfather of 17; great-grandfather of 20; preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Ellen, his siter Rita (Bing) Cox and his brother Art. Also survived by sisters Dolores (Jack) Hart, Ellen (Jack) McNally and Virginia Ryan and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Oak Lawn Elks Lodge. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Cletus Church, LaGrange. Interment Queen Heaven Cemetery.
