One of Mary Schmich’s statements confounds me. She states that she believes that a fetus is indeed a human life, though without rights equal to the woman’s. What in the world does this mean? Does she honestly believe that some human beings have more rights than others? So she says that the fetus is a human life but that she supports legal abortion. That means she feels that it is OK to take a life in certain cases. This is unbelievable.
I wish that she would just state that she believes that a fetus is not a human being like the rest of the pro-abortion crowd. At least I know where they stand.
And to believe that there can ever be any common ground on abortion is a pipe dream. How can we, who are pro-life, ever find common ground with people who will destroy life? No way.
