John “Jack” Simpson, born Dec. 11, 1928 in Oak Park, IL, passed away Feb. 6, 2005 at his home in Hyatt’s Classic Residence in Aventura, FL. Jack graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Business Administration and had a successful 24 year career as National Director of Children’s Wear for the Sears Company in Chicago, where his “Winnie the Pooh” collection once set the standard for children’s clothing. He is survived by his partner of 30 years, Crag Orear (also a Chicagoan); numerous relatives; and many loving friends.
