Dorothy Herbert Johnson, age 93 years, of Glen Ellyn, IL, formerly of Whiting, IN. Loving wife of the late Dr. O. W. Johnson; beloved daughter of the late Genevieve and the late Hugo Herbert; loving mother of Genevieve (Donald) Sparacin formerly of Rock Hill, SC and Vivian (Jack) Humphrey of Long Beach, CA and Dr. Marie Johnson of Glen Ellyn, IL, Jerrie (Karry) Johnson of Elgin, IL and William (Clarenda) and John (Sharon) Johnson both of Algonquin, IL; cherished grandmother of 14. She was a teacher in Michigan City, IN, Pecatonica, IL and Elmhurst, IL. She was a choir director in Seward, IL, and Girl Scout Leader in Pecatonica. She received her B.A. and M.S. in Education from Rockford College. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years; and brother Victor Herbert. Visitation will be Sunday 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, IL.
