This is regarding “Talks in works to move elephants; McHenry owner agrees to cooperate” (Metro, Feb. 18), by Tribune staff reporter Jeff Long.
Now that the Hawthorn Corp. has agreed that the Elephant Sanctuary is the best place for these elephants, it needs to step up and provide funds for their long-term medical care. Millions of dollars have been made at their expense; please use some of those profits to help heal them.
