Esther Ruth, age 91, died in her home with her family at her side in Ann Arbor, MI, on Friday, February 25, 2005. She joins her beloved husband, Adolph, who predeceased her in 1959 and her sister, Viola Spotswood in 1999. She is survived by her twin sons, Ronald (Barbara) of Chelsea, MI and Raymond (Jane) of Richmond, VA; grandchildren Stephanie G. (Tony) Keene, of Ann Arbor, MI, Robin L. (Pim) Jager of Richmond, VA, Derek A. Ruth of Los Angeles, CA, Scott F. (Jennifer) Ruth of Richmond, VA and Courtney P. Ruth of Charleston, SC. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Max Keene, Kaelie, Payton and Molly Jager, Anne Mason and Scott Ruth, Jr., sister Hertha Nelson and nephew Charles Unversagt, both of Chicago, IL. For all of the friends and family who survive her, she will be remembered for her humor, grace and independent spirit, that she carried to the end. She was much loved and will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 10 a.m. Memorial Services will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family, requests that a donation be made in her name to Concordia Lutheran Church, 3855 N. Seeley, Chicago, IL 60618.
