This is regarding “Justices prohibit executing juveniles; 5-4 court ruling says consensus exists in nation and the world” (Page 1, March 2). As a future police officer and currently a criminal justice major at College of DuPage, I am very upset. I believe that for all people who take a life purposely, the price to pay is to give up their own lives.

The teen sniper will never be sentenced to death, but what about the innocent lives he helped take?

When I was 14 my fellow classmates and I were expected to take and pass the U.S. Constitution test. Since then I have been aware of my rights and wrongs within society. So it is a lame excuse to not kill them because they are only children. They are children who knew what they were doing was wrong.
