Lake Express plans to place two computer-controlled “T-foil” ride stabilizers on the ferry designed to dampen the boat’s side-to-side rolls and sharp up-and-down movements in high winds and waves. The stabilizers, which resemble adjustable airplane wings, are about the size of a dining room table. The Milwaukee to Muskegon, Mich., ferry is set to begin its second season May 14.
