Friends of the William Leonard Public Library will hold a reception Sunday to benefit the cash-strapped facility.
Library officials hope to draw volunteers and donations so that they can restock bookshelves and magazine racks and replenish programs that have been slashed in the last several months.
The library, after gutting many of its programs and operating on a skeleton staff packed with volunteers, recently trimmed its hours because of budgetary problems.
