John David Elliott, 59, of Littleton, formerly of Chicago, died March 10, 2005, in Rushville, IL. Beloved husband of Jill (retired CPD); beloved father of David, CPD (Colleen) of Chicago, Terry (Liana) of Chicago Ridge and Joseph R. (Mandi) of Chicago; beloved grandfather of Ian and Morgan; beloved brother of Daniel (Peggy) of Collinsville, Dennis of Carpentersvillers, Nancy Thomas (Kent) and Sharon Dodd both of Vermont. A Navy Veteran. He was a patrolman for City of Chicago for 28 years, retiring in 2000. Following his retirement he was Cheif of Police in Vermont,IL. Services 10 a.m. Monday, Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial Vermont Cemetery with military rites by Vermont American Legion.
