Our sincere condolences to Jonathan Turley on the death of his father to Parkinson’s disease.

I’m sad to say that Turley’s commentary piece only demonstrated an example of the emotional appeals being used to promote embryonic stem-cell experimentation that are d of facts.

Rather it is adult stem cells that have borne great success in Parkinson’s disease treatment.

For example, Dennis Turner has testified in Senate hearings that 80 percent of his Parkinson’s symptoms have been reduced after being treated with adult stem cells.

Information about the exciting advances in the area of adult stem-cell research are being stymied by the wishes and hopes of embryonic stem-cell research. Many patients are thus being kept from knowledge about the one treatment that could perhaps save their lives.
