Why: Couples who muck together are stuck together? Maybe not, but we do think sloshing around in Maryland’s not-so-pristine rivers and streams is an impressive way to forge a relationship. Prepare to remove unsavory items, including candy wrappers, soda cans, tires and the like. In previous years several tons of trash have been removed. The event should be followed by a warm shower. (We don’t recommend this for a first date.)
