William J. “Uncle Bill” Ryan, age 74, passed away Friday, April 1, 2005 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, IL. Late of New Lenox, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL. He is survived by four brothers, Bob (Jackie) Ryan, Gene (Pat) Ryan, Don (Pat) Ryan and Pete Ryan; one sister Ann (Jim) Prunty; fond uncle of 22 nieces and nephews and 54 great-nieces and nephews. Mr. Ryan served in the Marines during the Korean War. He was employed for many years at the Metropolitan Sanitary District. He was a member of St. Judes Church, New Lenox, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald T. and Helen (Lonergan) Ryan and one brother, Gerald Ryan. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL Sunday, April 3, 2005 from 2 to 7 p.m. Prayer service Monday, April 4, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, following to the St. Judes Church, New Lenox for Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
