All the major news networks will carry live coverage of the funeral of Pope John Paul II, which starts at 3 a.m. Chicago time Friday.
CNN’s live coverage begins at 2 a.m., ABC’s at 2:30 a.m. and NBC’s at 2:50 a.m., with the live broadcast on Fox News, CBS and Chicago’s WGN-Ch. 9 starting at 3 a.m. MSNBC will be live Thursday evening and into Friday morning.
On radio, WLS-AM 890, WBBM-AM 780, WGN-AM 720 and WBEZ-FM 91.5 will also carry the funeral live.
Chicago’s WTTW-Ch. 11 will air a taped version of the papal funeral at 9 p.m. Friday.
