Many of us warned the Bush administration that invading Iraq would arouse anti-American sentiment and promote terrorist activity, endangering our safety. Porter Goss, our new CIA director, recently agreed: “Islamic extremists are exploiting the Iraqi conflict to recruit new anti-U.S. jihadists.”
Democrats and Republicans can share the blame for allowing us to start this war; now they must announce an exit strategy without delay.
