Snoop Dogg and the Game formally introduced a spring tour they hope re-establishes the West Coast as hip-hop’s Mecca.
In other words: West-siiiiide!
“We’re gonna go out and represent the West Coast and do a show that can bring back the West Coast,” Snoop Dogg said Wednesday at a news conference to promote the How the West Was Won tour, mtv.com reports. “It’s about time, right?”
For Game, it’s also a chance to perform with one of his heroes, and he promised a memorable show. “No funny business,” he said, “no flying midgets or funny lights. Just me and Dogg and real hip-hop.”
The tour hits Allstate Arena on April 22.
Boy on the side?
Sofia Vergara has the paparazzi second-guessing themselves.
The Colombian beauty has been linked to Tom Cruise since the two were photographed out on a date together.
So, naturally the paparazzi rushed up to the Toronto set where she is filming “Four Brothers.” But what they missed, the New York Daily News says, was a friendship–and possible romance–flaring up between Vergara and co-star Tyrese.
The two have been having lunch together in Vergara’s trailer and arrived arm-in-arm at a crew party, the Daily News reports. No word on Cruise’s whereabouts.

ROCK ONWARD: Pearl Jam’s next album is halfway done, guitarist Mike McCready told billboard.com.
The slow-cooking follow-up to 2002’s “Riot Act” won’t be done anytime soon–McCready said the band hopes to have it ready by the end of the year–but Pearl Jam is making progress despite tinkering with their usual recording process. Instead of cutting a few demos and recording, the band is recording, listening, breaking away for a few weeks and recording anew.
“We’re about halfway there,” McCready said. “It’s going to be a really awesome record, and I’m not just saying that like every band member says it. It’s been really exciting.”
Meanwhile, the track list for the Dave Matthews Band’s upcoming album, “Stand Up,” has been released, headed by the single “American Baby.” “Stand Up” drops May 10. And the White Stripes reportedly have chosen “Blue Orchid” as the first single off their upcoming album, due June 14.
“X-FILES” RELOADED? The truth is still out there, and David Duchovny still wants to find it.
Agent Mulder says he’s ready to work on another “X-Files” movie as early as next year, zap2it.com reports. (Maybe his role in the cross-dressing flop “Connie and Carla” had something to do with his decision.)
He says co-star Gillian Anderson and creator Chris Carter are on board, and all signs are pointing to a sequel.
“It’s just a matter of everyone getting their needs met, I guess,” Duchovny said.
“I kind of miss Mulder, and I wouldn’t mind being Mulder again for two or three months.”
BATTLE POSTS? Denise Richards and estranged husband Charlie Sheen may not make such a clean break of it after all.
The specter of an ugly custody battle looms over the Hollywood couple six weeks after Richards filed for divorce, People magazine reports.
Richards, who has a daughter with Sheen and is pregnant with their second child, requested sole custody of both children. “She’d have to prove it’s in the best interest of the children,” lawyer Lynn Soodik explained to People, “and that either he refuses to communicate with her regarding decisions about the children or that his judgment is impaired.”
A friend of Sheen’s told the magazine the “Two and a Half Men” star is “devastated.”
