Florence M. Konder, nee Dooley, age 86, a resident of Lisle, IL, since 1933, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Meadowbrook Manor of Naperville. She was born January 26, 1919, in Chicago, IL. She is survived by five children: Sandra (Robert) Donnelly, John Michael (Helen) Konder, Bonnie Konder, Albert (Adek) Konder and Mary (Frank) Espinosa; 11 granchildren including Nancy (Zellio) Ferrarini and Jason (Amanda) Konder; 10 great-grandchildren; nine siblings: Robert (the late Ida) Dooley, Terry (Pat) Dooley, Sheila (Frank) Prue and Tom (the late Marcia) Dooley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Konder, her parents John and Florence Dooley, four siblings Edward Dooley, Elizabeth (the late Joseph) Delaney, John (the late Rozella) Dooley and Eileen Dooley and two great-grandsons Gene Konder and Christopher Sanchez. Florence was employed by Electromotive Co., LaGrange, IL, during World War II. Through the years she also worked at Leo’s Cleaners, owned and operated The Dairy Castle, a burger and ice cream restaurant, and taught pre-schoolers at The Montessori School, all located in Lisle. Visitation Friday, April 15, 3 to 9 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL. Services will begin Saturday, April 16, 8:45 a.m., from the funeral home and will proceed to a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joan of Arc Church, Kingston and Front Streets, Lisle.
