Phillip E. Bretz, 69, of Naperville, born July 13, 1935 in Springfield, IL, passed away Friday, April 15, 2005, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy, whom he married August 13, 1960, and the beloved father of Kevin (Kim) Bretz of Oswego, Susan (Howard) Lephew of Warrenville and Gary Bretz of Naperville; beloved grandfather of Amanda Bretz, Brian and Megan Garland, and Brittany and Jessica Lephew; he was “Uncle Phil” to over 60 nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Phil was a Guidance Counselor with the Naperville School District #203 for many years. He was a member of St. Raphael Church in Naperville for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Bretz; his brother John; and nephew Phillip Bretz; and survived by his brother Robert of North Carolina. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 4 to 9 p.m., at the Freidrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.
