Herbert Singer was born in Chicago on December 6, 1917. He passed away in San Antonio, TX on April 11, 2005 at the age of 87. He also lived in Scottsdale, AZ for 32 years. He was a devoted husband for 23 years to the late Evelyn Singer (Brin) and a loving father to his three daughters; Joan Terry (Stuart), Essie Streicher (Rick) and Shelly Leeman (Ron); dear grandfather to Eric Terry (Katie), Kim Terry, Yvette Ostroff (Craig), Kevin Streicher, Ilyse Leeman and Garrett Leeman; and Stepfather to David Katz (Laura); great-grandfather to Max and Cooper Terry, Maya Brin Ostroff; devoted brother to Elsie Singer of San Francisco, and the late Arthur Singer (Betty); devoted husband to Libby Singer while in Scottsdale; best friends with Jeanne Fries and many others at the Madison House in San Antonio where he resided. He was a photographer, a sales representative and a gentleman with a great sense of humor. He was an avid reader, bowler, golfer and card player and busy corresponding with friends and family via E-Mail. He will be buried in Chicago, next to his wife, Evelyn at a private service, where his family will mourn his death and celebrate his life.
