This is regarding “Workforce needs polish, U.S. businesses declare; `Soft skills’ such as punctuality lacking, employers, unions say” (News, April 10). It is absolutely galling that anyone would ask why it is that younger employees display such poor work habits.
What does a young worker have to look forward to anymore? Working longer hours for worse wages, facing the possibility of losing health coverage or having a job shipped overseas.
Is it any wonder the modern American worker is a picture of indolence?
