Samuel L. Jackson’s going animated.
Jackson, who’s about to hit theaters in “Star Wars: Episode III,” will play another great swordsman for Spike TV–in a cartoon. He will voice the title character in the animated series “Afro Samurai,” which will premiere next year.
Created by Japanese artist Takashi Okazaki, the series tells the story of Afro, a black warrior in a “futuristic, yet feudal” Japan on a mission to avenge the wrongful death of his father. The action-adventure will be set to a hip-hop soundtrack.
