Lying on one’s back and seeing pictures in clouds is a rite of childhood. It will be taken a step further in “Among the Clouds,” a workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. May 22 at the Thorn Creek Nature Center, 247 Monee Rd.
Would-be weather forecasters ages 11 and up will learn how to look at cloud formations for not only what shapes or animals they resemble, but also for what sort of approaching systems and underlying weather patterns they may predict. The cost is $3 per person. Call 708-647-6320.
