Mayor Richard Daley used Washington’s airplane scare to advocate for more restrictions in flights over Chicago (News, May 12). Rather than demonstrating the importance of no-flight zones, what Wednesday’s incident showed is how ridiculous our paranoia has gotten, and how useless the restrictions are in the first place.
