An East Garfield Park man was ordered held in lieu of $350,000 bail Sunday after he allegedly forced a woman and a 12-year-old boy out of their vehicle at gunpoint.
Joel Nelson, 25, was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, according to court records.
Nelson approached a 35-year-old woman and the boy in their SUV on Saturday near Madison and Homan Avenues, forced them out and drove off, court documents said.
