Focus on role of financial execs
Financial Executives International is hosting “Taking Center Stage: New Focus on the Role of Financial Executives,” the theme of its Summit 2005.
The three-day event takes place Wednesday through Friday at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 E. Wacker Drive.
Keynote speakers include Brian Mulroney, former prime minister of Canada; William Archer, senior policy adviser at PricewaterhouseCoopers and former chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee; Colleen Cunningham, president and CEO of Financial Executives International; Jeff Henley, chairman of Oracle Corp.; Jim Collins, author of “Good to Great,” and James H. Quigley, CEO of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP.
Some of the topics to be covered include leading in the new age of accountability, the shift from chief financial officer to chairman, and how to be an effective leader in a political environment.
Other speakers include Dick Armey, senior policy adviser at Piper Rudnick LLP and former House Republican majority leader; and Edward E. Nusbaum, CEO and executive partner at Grant Thornton LLP.
