Ah freedom of the press.

But, like freedom of speech, there are limits, such as a prankster shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

Newsweek’s appalling story about U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, flushing a Koran down the toilet falls into the “Fire!” category.

Newsweek never should have printed the allegation, even if it were true.

C’mon, in today’s world, editors need to show some judgment.

Printing something that will enrage Muslims worldwide goes way beyond freedom of the press.

Newsweek’s apologizing for the story’s inaccuracy makes one want to retch.
