If I understand your May 12 lead editorial correctly, American children should be taught the Bible in public schools so they may understand references in literature and history.

Does your plan include a few semesters for the Koran? Or the holy books of Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism and a host of other holy books of religions held dear by families of American children?
