Base price on the redesigned 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe is $19,399 for a GS model with manual transmission, $300 less than the 2005 version. The Eclipse GT starts at $23,699, also with manual transmission. Automatic transmission is a $900 option on both. The prices do not include the $595 destination charge. The Eclipse GS comes with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder and the GT a 3.8-liter V-6. Sales began May 19 for the new coupe, built in Normal, Ill. A convertible is due in 2006.
